Born in Epernay, France, Luc Morlet is a fifth-generation winemaker who grew up working on his family's Pinot Noir and Chardonnay domaine. He went on to earn a Masters in Enology from Rheims University and an MBA in Wine Business from Dijon Business School, Burgundy.

After positions in France and Napa, Luc created the first Bordeaux blend at Newton Vineyard of Napa Valley, helped the Peter Michael Winery improve upon its already acclaimed wines, consulted at the Staglin family estate in Napa and designed and developed a patented, premium-sorting device called "LE TRIEUR™". He also married and had two children whom he is raising in Napa Valley.

Since 2006, Luc has crafted his own Morlet Family Vineyards label. He continues to work with Peter Michael Winery, Vineyard 7 & 8 on the top of Spring Mountain and Chateau Boswell. He joined Signorello Estate as consultant winemaker in August, 2010, where he is collaborating with Signorello's long-time winemaker Pierre Birebent to produce the finest wines possible. Passionate for both the expression of the terroirs and the pursuit of quality, Luc cheerfully calls his winemaking philosophy "neo-classic laissez-faire without compromise."
